The complex obstacle interval in the city has brought great difficulties to underground space exploration. Aiming at the common problem of large-span obstacle interval detection in urban geotechnical engineering survey, based on the DC resistivity method with wells, this paper used numerical simulation and application experiments to compare and analyze the inversion effect under different obstacle interval widths by setting different observation data densities. In addition, the feasibility of the method was studied and the scope of application of the method was analyzed. The results show that the detection accuracy is related to the span range of the obstacle interval, the target depth and the drilling depth. With the larger span and the target depth, the greater the drilling depth required to improve the detection accuracy. When the span of the obstacle interval exceeds the spacing required by the relevant engineering drilling regulations, the borehole electrical method has the ability to provide information for underground space exploration.
