abstract = {The spin-forbidden effect of O2 restricts ·O2– production and significantly hinders the efficiency of photocatalytic disinfection. Inspiringly, however, In2S3/Mo4/3B2-xTz MBene (IS/MB) hybrids have recently been developed to promote ·O2– production and photocatalytic disinfection further through the spin-polarization effect induced by atomic strain, demonstrating a 16.59-fold increase in ·O2– photocatalytic production under low dissolved oxygen (2.46 mg L−1) conditions.}
