abstract = {Major infrastructures support the successful implementation of major national strategies of China. As the primary construction material, concrete plays a crucial role in these giant infrastructure projects. To meet the green, safe, and long-term life requirements of major infrastructures, technical challenges in low-carbon, longevity, performance enhancement, efficient design and construction of concrete need to be broken through. In response to these issues, this paper presents the current research progress of concrete in developing low-carbon technologies, ensuring long life term, pursuing ultra-high performance, and incorporating artificial intelligence applications, as well as offers a perspective on the future development of concrete materials.}
